My Divan bleu Mission

Accompany you on the path to personal and intimate fulfillment, especially adapted to people living with a chronic STI such as herpes and/or HIV.

Catherine Drolet, sexologue spécialisée en gestion des ITSS, assise en fauteuil.

My Story

I am fully aware of the complexity you face in cultivating a fulfilling sexual and intimate life after a diagnosis of a sexually transmitted and blood-borne infection (STBBI). The challenges, such as disclosing an STBBI to a new partner or exploring new encounters, can seem overwhelming. You work to overcome low self-esteem, to break the idea that you are “the virus”, and to face the fear that your sex life will forever be compromised.

Questions about your past, your present and your future with this reality torment you. You fear the lack of understanding, rejection and judgment of those around you and your partners. You feel isolated, misunderstood. However, millions of people share this experience. It is essential to know that you are not alone.

It is possible to regain the confidence you once had, to rebuild it stone by stone. We will work on communication with your partners, intimacy and the realization of your desires. My goal is to accompany you towards a life where the STI doesn’t define who you are. You will be able to experience pleasure without illness being the focus of your thoughts.

Together we will build a path to acceptance, self-love and reclaiming your body. I will help you cope with unpleasant emotions with a toolkit (because life is not always a calm river!)

In my office, I want to undo the sometimes cold distance between therapist and client and offer a space for discussion and advice where partners are in harmony. I am comfortable and open to many topics, such as your emotional and sexual life, communication within your couple, sexual self-esteem, sexual orientation and gender identity… My role is to guide you, stimulate your thinking and offer you concrete tools. I create a complicity and a bond of mutual aid, establishing a warm connection to overcome your challenges.

My expertise in sexology, particularly in managing the personal, relational and psychological repercussions of herpes, makes me a qualified guide. I am committed to helping you rediscover self-confidence, to reclaim your body. I believe in your potential for transformation and I will be present at every step, according to your needs and desires.
